Actress Karishma Sharma Sustains Injuries in Dramatic Train Mishap

The glamorous world of Bollywood was recently reminded of the harsh realities of commuter life when actress Karishma Sharma, known for her roles in popular films and television series, suffered a serious accident after jumping from a moving Mumbai local train. The incident, which took place near the Churchgate area, has brought to the forefront the risks taken daily by countless city commuters and serves as a stark warning against impulsive decisions on railway platforms.

Sharma was reportedly heading to a shoot, dressed in a saree, and boarded the train. However, as the train began to pick up speed, she realised her accompanying friends were unable to get on. In a moment of panic, the actress made the dangerous decision to jump off the accelerating train. She fell onto the platform, landing hard on her back and hitting her head, an ordeal she later described as “truly traumatic.”

The actress was immediately rushed to the hospital, where medical teams examined her for internal injuries. She sustained a swollen head, an injured back, and numerous bruises across her body. While subsequent medical observation and an MRI thankfully confirmed no severe internal damage, the physical and psychological toll of the event has been significant. Sharma has since been discharged and is recovering at home, but she has opened up about the lasting trauma, urging fellow commuters to never risk their lives by attempting such a perilous act, no matter the circumstances.
