Allu Arjun recently gave fans a rare glimpse into the dedication and detail behind one of the most talked-about moments from Pushpa 2: The Rule — the now-iconic “pallu” shot. Speaking at the WAVES 2025 Summit in Mumbai, the actor recalled how that single shot demanded an exceptional amount of time, patience, and perseverance on set. The sequence, a standout in both the film’s teaser and trailer, wasn’t easy to pull off. It required an intense focus from the team, starting as early as 8:30 am and continuing well into the afternoon.
By 11 am, Allu Arjun said he began finding the rhythm needed to perfect the movement. But it wasn’t until nearly 2:30 pm — after what he estimates was over 80 takes — that the final shot was locked. At one point, the production team even stopped counting the number of takes, running out of both numbers and alphabets typically used to track shots. Instead, Allu Arjun encouraged everyone to focus purely on nailing the moment, no matter how many attempts it took. The end result, now etched into the visual identity of Pushpa 2, is a testament to the team’s unwavering commitment to cinematic excellence.
